Course in Firearms Safety (10618NAT)

Before you can obtain a Firearms License, it is required that you complete a Firearms Safety Course for each category of firearm that you would like to register.

There are both theoretical and practical components to be completed in each course and it is required that you have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to complete the course. A USI is similar to a Tax File Number but used for training purposes. If you do not have a USI, you can apply for one online at

Glenn is a registered Senior Trainer with Pistol Shooting Queensland (RTO# 2962) qualified to assess categories A, B, C, D, H, and M for Sporting, Recreational, Employment, Collectors and Professionals seeking qualification.

As well as our regular courses for categories A, B & C that are conducted at Caboolture Clay Target Club (CCTC), we now offer courses for categories A, B, C, D, H, and M, with the theoretical component conducted in store and the practical component conducted at Brisbane International Pistol Club in Belmont (BIPC). The practical component takes approximately 15 minutes per person, at appointed time and date.

Select from one of the below courses to register for a Firearms Safety Course at CCTC or call the store to organise times in store and at BIPC to complete both parts of the course.

The course is suited to ages 11 years and above.

You can find out more about how to obtain a weapons licence, including all the forms you need, at Qld Weapons Licensing.
