Super rare original Swiss Model 1889/11 Schmidt-Rubin .22LR Converted Short Training Rifle with Muzzle Cover

This rifle was adapted in Switzerland from the original M1889 chambered in 7,5×55 to K11 .22LR as a single shot trainer by J. Heusser of Zurich around 1911.

The Swiss never had a standard military training rifle program and conversions of Schmidt Rubin’s were made by Swiss gunsmiths as required.

The Sleeved barrel is in excellent condition making both a great shooter and fantastic collector.

The rather attractive woodwork is in great condition with original sling attached

This example is one of the best you will find making it very collectable
